Computerised and Manual Diagnostics

A diagnostic test is the most reliable way to find out your vehicle faults. In modern vehicles, there are complex electrical systems that are rigged with sensors which are picked up by a diagnostic computer. Your mechanic will use this computer to diagnose errors that cause your car to go into safe/limp mode or completely immobilise your vehicle to prevent further damage.
Sometimes the engine light can be on and the vehicle seems ok, but this represents an underlying issue which can cause damage in the long term if not diagnosed, resolved and eliminated from the vehicles error log. Other times our experienced technicians will manually identify issues, especially in classic cars which do not have advanced technology for computerised diagnosis.
